I usually give food to Ruthie the same way I plate it for myself: I don't separate it into each component, I use the same, non segmented plates. Sometimes Ruthie picks it apart herself, but most of the time she just digs in. (Oh and then sometimes she says I DON'T LIKE DAT and eats watermelon for dinner 🤷‍♀️).  I'm not sure if there is any benefit to doing it this way, but it is how I've always done it and Ruthie's always been OK with it and also OK with her food touching.

The other day, Austin's coworker asked him if he ever eats anything other than beans 😳.

That's how how often he brings some version of beans for lunch. Sort of embarrassing, but definitely true. I absolutely love beans, and Ruthie is a fan too. I totally understand not everyone is crazy about them, I mean what even are they (I promise I do actually know what beans are).

I have been waiting anxiously for the new House of Cards to come out and it's finally here. Want to know how much I've watched? About half of the first episode. Want to know how many times I've watched that old, weird claymation Rudolph this June? At least 10. When House of Cards time rolls around at night, I just cannot stay awake. I lay down with Ruthie so she can twirl my hair as she falls asleep (go ahead, roll your eyes at me, I'm probably rolling my eyes at myself 🙄 #faveemoji) and then I inevitably fall asleep also and that leaves zero House of Cards time. Sometimes going to sleep at 8 PM causes me to wake up at like 3 AM, but the Underwoods are too creepy and evil for that hour of the night.
